ABOUT
christina king m.a.
I ended up here accidentally on purpose. On purpose, because I believe everything happens for a reason. Accidentally, because I never planned it.
I am a trained Expressive Arts Therapist practicing in Massachusetts for over 10 years, working with adolescents and their families. As my daughter grew to the same age as my clients, the feeling of “too close to home” entered and I went back to my roots as an artist. I taught visual arts for 12 years and dedicated myself to sharing my passion for creativity as well as building community through the arts.I have chosen to combine my desire to help people build better lives with education and creativity. My clients are the you's and me's and face the life events we all come upon including, caring for aging parents, relocating, change of career, entering or considering retirement, and sending kids off to college.
When you enter these stages, it can feel as though your feet are not firmly planted on the ground. Your world starts to change and the routines, thoughts and patterns you’ve created no longer fit. I will help you find beneficial and productive beliefs that will serve you and your new outlook. This process is slightly different for everyone, but you will identify new perspectives by connecting to your creativity. Perhaps your creativity is cooking, gardening, collage, playing the oboe, or salsa dancing. Each of these things belong to you as a safe source of expression. I often don’t see my clients’ work, but we do tap into their creative spirit and move mountains with it.
I'm curious and ready
